Because of these stories, we believe that many of the lives of the people that have been helped, no matter how small, will never be the same. It truly makes us feel honored to work with each of you. “I will not mention names, because she would never tell anyone this. There is a Manager in one of the other communities that shared with me a heartbreaking story. One of her residents who is elderly contacted the Main Office for an unrelated issue. Knowing that this resident was older, the manager asked her how she was doing. The resident confided that she didn’t have much food left. She offered to go to the store for her and the resident said she didn’t have any money to buy groceries. This amazing employee, went to her own pantry and put together a food box for the resident. The manager was tearing up as she told me this. Knowing that someone is going hungry and not doing something about it was just not an option."
“I am on a rotation of contacting my residents once a week (I make 24 phone calls a day). Checking in, making sure they are good and asking if they need anything. I have picked up over 30 prescriptions this month and basic grocery items.”
